AWWWARDS

Creating a Treena end product was a real test for our design thinking approach. We started with thorough marketing and user research, carefully gathering and analyzing all the data points. The ideation phase covered much more than initially planned, from short-term and long-term goals to vanguard concepts yet to be seen in Metaverse.

A complete package of deliverables was expected from us - a clear business strategy, a strong brand statement, and a usable end product. Treena's team wanted to ensure full accessibility of their product - we created a responsive website and iOS app utilizing the best features of both platforms. We made sure to maintain the same look and feel across devices while still embracing the uniqueness that comes with it.

Treena
—Branding

Treena's brand identity is unique in combining youthful and modern elements, such as 3D emojis and vibrant gradients, with a cold typeface with strict horizontal or vertical terminals. We wanted to show the nature of the market, which is closer to the youth and has a dose of gamification but is simultaneously based on advanced blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Our task was to achieve consistent branding in both the physical and digital world - we set guidelines for the proper use of branding on social networks and corporate collaterals.

“Akeo’s known for its track record of defining and launching the world’s best digital experiences—especially in retail. That’s why we chose them to help IKEA improve engagement with our customers across e-commerce, mobile shopping and in-store experiences.”

Treena
—Strategy

Designing for emerging markets doesn't necessarily mean there is no competition. Assessing how our future product compares to others was a complex, daunting, and continuous task. But we decided to get our hands dirty digging for ideas and build from the nuggets we uncovered. We conducted an extensive marketing analysis to pinpoint opportunities and threats in the unpredictable field. We captured a range of qualitative and quantitative data points to help us understand what kind of marketplace we are entering. Ultimately, we analyzed the data and extracted meaningful intelligence that shaped our UX strategy and the business model.

Treena
—Design System

Building a reference system for design and development was critical to ensure brand integrity across different channels and devices. One benefit of a design system is built-in consistency through a single source of truth with tried and tested components that can be applied to any touchpoint—this significantly improved product development by scaling design and ensuring improved UX, UI, and product delivery.
